Your account settings control your personal profile, login security, and display preferences. These settings apply to your user account, not to your organization or chatbots.
Profile#
Update your name and email address from Settings → Profile.
If you change your email, you'll need to verify the new address before it takes effect. A verification link will be sent to the new email.
Deleting your account#
You can start account deletion from Settings → Profile.
Important behavior:
- deletion requires your current password
- if you are the sole owner of an organization with active paid access, deletion is blocked until you transfer ownership or the paid subscription ends
- organizations where you are only a member are not deleted
- account and related root records are soft-deleted first, then permanently removed after 30 days
If you accidentally start deletion, contact support before the 30-day purge window ends.
Password#
Change your password from Settings → Password. You'll need to enter your current password along with the new one.
Two-factor authentication#
Add an extra layer of security to your account with time-based one-time passwords (TOTP).
Setting up 2FA#
- Go to Settings → Two-Factor Authentication.
- Click Enable.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.).
- Enter the 6-digit code from your app to confirm.
- Save your recovery codes in a safe place — you'll need them if you lose access to your authenticator app.
Recovery codes#
Recovery codes are one-time-use backup codes that let you log in when you don't have access to your authenticator app. Each code can only be used once.
- View your current recovery codes from the 2FA settings page.
- Regenerate recovery codes if you've used some or suspect they've been compromised. This invalidates all previous codes.
Warning: Store your recovery codes securely (e.g., in a password manager). If you lose both your authenticator app and your recovery codes, you won't be able to access your account.
Disabling 2FA#
To disable two-factor authentication, go to the 2FA settings page, confirm your password, and click Disable.
Appearance#
Switch between Light, Dark, and System themes from Settings → Appearance. The System option follows your device's preference.
